The IRS’ latest guidance has deferred payments of taxes; however, the filing deadline has not been moved at this time. We will continue to update you on any news we receive. The AICPA has asked CPAs to write to Treasury Secretary Mnuchin to move the filing deadline; however, nothing has changed at this point.
What does this mean?
Business as usual. Personal tax returns are still due April 15th. Payments for 2019 taxes will not be due until July 15th.
